My name is AJ and this was my church 10 years ago. Recently, in the midst of being called onto a discernment committee, I was asked to describe a loving faith community and my mind and heart immediately went to Saint Sebastian's. All of who I am is the direct result of the love of that faith community. Every 4th of July at Zoe Toler's, every sunday school class taught by Doreen Yandell, every youth group lead by the Dickmans, every church yard work day, every Christmas decorating the church with ornaments made by the ECW, the children's chapel painted by Dac Fraiser, the service music Jim Burley so lovingly crafted, the choir Marlene led, every single moment has made me who I am today. And as a 15 year old girl about to move across the country and start a different life, the words thank you were as far from my lips as could be. However, as a 25 year old woman, I am overcome with a deep sense of gratitude and the words thank you now seem far too small for all that this church has given me. I cannot answer what a loving faith community is without encompassing all of that and it fills my heart with joy to see that this church is still the living and loving body of Christ in the world.

I love this amazing church it has been a safe haven to me the 14 years I have been alive.
