Play Performance

Friday, June 27 7:00PM

This format for Vacation Bible School will be set up differently than a traditional VBS.  There will be a theme set for the week, some craft activities, snacks & games and wonderful music.  However, the children will also be learning a musical to be performed on Friday evening for everyone.

The play is set up in the park where the children are attending art camp.  It’s a story about God’s love for us, how much the children want to be like Him and the wonderful creations God has given us.

Call or email to register.  Cost is $15.00 per child for supplies.

Barefoot Sunday

June 1, 2008

Changing the World

One Pair at a Time

Our congregation has the power to move mountains and put much-needed footwear on the feet of people in the United States and around the world.  We are joining Soles4Souls, Scarlett Johansson and other celebrities in their National Barefoot Campaign to help place shoes on the feet of the 300 million children shoeless around the world.

We all probably have a pair or two of “gently” used or even new shoes around our homes that we either don’t wear anymore or have never worn that could benefit a person that doesn’t have any shoes.

We will start a three week campaign to collect shoes and send them on to the people that need them most.  On June 1, bring or wear a pair of shoes that you would like to donate, bring them to church to place in the collection box and walk out of church barefoot!!

What a great way to clean out your closets!!
